We will be holding a second Café on Thursday, March 21st, from 4:00 to 5:30 pm in Swing 406. (I apologize to those who are not available on Thursdays. The ones I have planned for April and May will be on different days.)

Our topic/question: Will we ever overcome bigotry and discrimination?

We will explore issues surrounding bigotry, sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and various forms of discrimination. One of the main questions will be whether we can ever overcome these social challenges, particularly when we consider the current social/political climate. In terms of connecting this topic to the previous, I believe issues around narcissism, social media, and lack of empathy are all relevant here, so we can definitely consider those further within this context.
